Hailing from Brazil, the humble pandeiro is able to take on a wide array of different playing styles, ranging from samba to capoeira and more. The Latin Percussion LP3010N is a 10 inch pandeiro with a wooden frame finished in a honey-coloured lacquer and pre-fitted with a natural batter head, five pairs of jingles, and chrome-plated hardware. Bring it to pitch via the seven tension rods and enjoy a pure and traditional sound and playing feel.

Traditionally, the pandeiro is played with the hands to produce a broad range of percussive effects. By running a thumb around the edge, a rumbling sound is created and sounds a little like a drum roll; by striking the centre of the batter head with a flat hand, your greeted by a dry and clear response; and the pitch can be raised very slightly by pressing down on the skin before striking.
